A café near Bury St Edmunds will mark its first birthday on Tuesday by giving away free cake.

The Suffolk Café, at Park Farm Business Centre, Fornham St Genevieve, opened its doors on June 17, 2024, and will celebrate by giving customers a free slice of cake on Tuesday, its first birthday.

Marcia Taylor, of Suffolk Café, said the first 12 months had been a ‘fantastic year of growth, community support and exciting new additions’.

The menu has been expanded, while the café has added a buffet service, expanded its outdoor seating and concentrated on creating a welcoming atmosphere for all, including dogs – with fresh water, blankets and treats on offer to canine visitors.

Marcia said: “We all extend a heartfelt thank you to our customers for their loyalty and support throughout the past year. The community has played a vital role in the café’s success.

“We can’t wait to celebrate with you on Tuesday.”

Alongside food and drink, the café sells locally-produced honey, candles and wax melts, paintings, gifts and cards.
